Our Solution

Lumetallix offers a groundbreaking spray-on reagent that reacts with lead—and only lead—forming a perovskite compound that fluoresces green under our LeadLight. This method detects lead concentrations as low as 200 parts per million (ppm) with the naked eye. With nanogram sensitivity, Lumetallix allows users to identify individual pieces of invisible lead dust—the most significant source of childhood lead poisoning. Our product is designed for user-friendliness, ensuring anyone can perform lead tests effectively.

Dr. Lukas Helmbrecht, Co-founder & CTO: Lukas completed his PhD in chemistry at AMOLF, where he co-invented the technology behind Lumetallix. He is passionate about leveraging scientific research to make a tangible impact on society.

Prof. Wim Noorduin, Co-founder: Wim is a professor at the University of Amsterdam and scientific group leader at AMOLF, where the Lumetallix technology was first developed.
